FOOD MYTHS

There are a lot of food myths which are prevailing whole over the world.The most common people think is What to eat? what to not eat? How often to eat? and many more.
We are living in modern time these all thing don't have any scientific reasons.
Some myths are listed below-

  1. POTATOES MAKE YOU FAT - People used to think that taking carbohydrate makes us fat which causes increase in body weight,therefore people used to remove carbohydrate from their diet.Now every one is well known that carbohydrate is preferred as energy sources.Potato don't make us fat automatically.So there is no problem in eating potato.
  2. EGG INCREASES CHOLESTEROL LEVELS - Eggs are mostly good source of health.Egg contains various nutrients such as protein,vitamins A,B,D,zinc,iron,calcium, etc.It fulfils the daily requirements of cholesterol by our body.
  3. EXERCISE MAKES YOU EAT MORE- Exercise burns calories which may increase our hunger.Research studies conducted in this area have not shown that the individual who do exercise consumes more calories than those who don't do exercise.   
  4. DON'T TAKE MILK AFTER EATING FISH-People have a big myth that drinking milk after eating fish to not good, they think it makes us sick,even they think spots can appear on the skin.But there is not any scientific reason behind it.
  5. DRINKING WHILE EATING IMPROVES DIGESTION-The reason behind this misconception is that enzymes and their digestive juices will be diluted by drinking water while eating.It may slower down the digestion.So there is no specific reason that drinking water while eating improves digestion.
